The workshop ‘Lëtz Get More Girls in Digital – Create your App Filter: Learn about Face Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (AI)’ will take place on in the Foyer Européen on 25 June 2024, from 5PM to 7PM.
It will be co-organised by DG CONNECT – Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, the Commission Representation in Luxembourg, and Workshop4Me a.s.b.l., a non-profit based in Luxembourg.
What to Expect:
Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg Minister for Gender Equality and Diversity, and Elisabeth Margue, Luxembourg Minister of Justice, will open the event.
Inspirational talks by prominent women in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) will follow and then, participants will engage in a live, hands-on coding activity, led by Workshop4Me.
Who can Attend:
The workshop is designed for girls aged 8 to 14 and their mothers, encouraging them to explore coding together.
Participants will create an application using drag-and-drop coding to add filters like googly eyes and a hat using facial recognition and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. This activity will be in English.
Practical Details:
