Description
On Sunday, 10 May 2026, Europe Day will take place at Wiltz Castle for a festive day open to everyone. Come and celebrate the values of peace, unity and diversity that define Europe.
A varied programme featuring cultural and musical highlights awaits you, in the presence of H.R.H. Grand Duke Guillaume and other distinguished guests. This year, the focus is on everyday Europe, in rural areas and in our region, highlighting initiatives that shape our daily lives.
Discover Europe’s diversity by visiting the European Village on Sunday, 10 May 2026, from 11:00 to 18:00. At the heart of the event, the traditional European Village will take you on a journey through the member countries and institutions of the European Union, with culinary specialities, crafts, cultural displays and information stands about European programmes in Luxembourg.
Take the opportunity to discover Wiltz, a charming town in the north of Luxembourg, and get to know the regional offerings of the Éislek. On the day, visitors will have the chance to experience local traditions such as regional beer brewing or join a guided walk organised by the Naturpark to explore the surrounding nature and heritage.
This event is free of charge.

Preview screening of the film Europe : La bataille des sièges, a film by Donato Rotunno
Discover the great history of Europe through the smaller stories of its capitals: Strasbourg, Luxembourg and Brussels. The main European institutions, at the heart of an ongoing struggle between national interests and competing visions of Europe, are portrayed here through the voices of Catherine Trautmann, Jean-Claude Juncker, Louis Michel, Colette Flesch and Charles Goerens.
What gradually emerges from this little-known story is the face of today’s Europe — with its successes and failures, its symbols, and its constant search for legitimacy. And yet, it moves forward…
