Commission clears acquisition of sole control over Valtech by BC Partners

The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of sole control over Valtech SE of Luxembourg by BC Partners LLP of the UK. Valtech is a global business transformation agency that provides strategy consulting, service design, technology services and optimisation of digital platforms for multichannel commerce and marketing. BC Partners is an international investment firm. The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, given the limited horizontal overlaps between the activities of the companies. The transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
